My poetic hub

Here are some of my poems. Hope you enjoy them 💜

1. The disgusting evil hands

Rape is not just a woman's issue. It's about men who stop behaving like human beings and start behaving like animals. Rape is the only crime in which the victim becomes the accused. This poem is about an innocent girl who becomes the victim of such evil hands.

2. Abandoned

Did you ever fear being abandoned?? Yes, I did. My whole life, I've had the fear that I was going to be abandoned and judged. Being abandoned is the most devastating emotion we can cause in another human being. This poem deals with my feelings towards this condition.

3. Purple hearts

Yup, you guessed that right. This poem is dedicated to our incredible boys. They deserve all the love and support in the world. This poem deals with the impact that these seven very talented angels, in human disguise, have on our lives.

The Disgusting evil hands.

She was a world of innocence.
She always liked to stay behind the fence.
Forests and animals were her life,
And she never had a strife!

One sunny morning, in the valley,
She was playing so lively.
She had a purple dress on.
Who knew it would be a day of mourn?

Suddenly the sky turned dark,
Trees bent on their bark.
Three men came by,
She didn’t think that they would lie.

The sky trembled,
Nature stood stunned as the girl was crumbled.
She was dragged and crushed.
They silenced her cries,

The purple dress turned red.
And it continued for days ahead!
Until she could no longer stand,
The disgusting, evil hands!!

Another rape victim died.
But still people did not change their minds.
They protested to save the rapists,
All because she could not prove it.

Oh!! what we have become?
To commit such a crime!
And with the death of the lil girl,
Protests and slogans reversed.
Ah! when will we learn..
To love the others as our own?

Abandoned

A park with cherry blossoms,
A breeze that smells awesome,
A perfect view to admire,
The sky as beautiful as sapphire

A scoop of my favourite ice-cream in the hand,
A track playing from my favourite band.
The sunrays penetrating through the leaves,
The sweet, buzzing sound of the bees.

The presence of everything that my heart desires,
But this isn’t the food that my soul requires.
Despite of these blessings surrounding me,
Solitude is what I get to see.

The sound of silence is what I hear,
Being abandoned is what I fear.
Receiving hate for being who I am,
Sometimes from people, sometimes from my fam.

Being judged for everything I do,
Do you ever know what I’m going through?
I beg you, please don’t let people suffer,
Never judge a book by it’s cover.

Purple hearts

It was a summer evening when,
Molly was playing with Ben.
She had a red dress on,
Who would have thought it would be a day of mourn?

She suddenly collapsed out of the blue,
This was not something new.
“ All she has is one week’s time,
Bring her for check-ups every morning at nine.”

Said the doctor with a feeling hurt,
Molly had a hole in her heart.
“ And for the smart girl, here’s a tart,
Have you heard of the band whose fans use the purple heart?”

Said the doctor, grabbing the little girl’s attention,
When her mother was deep in tension.
“No” was Molly’s immediate reply,
But the thought of purple hearts never said her brain a good bye.

“Let me see who they are,”
Thought Molly seeing their videos for hours.
Next morning, she was ready to brag about,
Her knowledge regarding their whereabouts.

When the doctor asked,” Which oppa did you like the most?”
She said,” Oh! the one who once had no picture to post.
And the one who has a brilliant, hopeful smile,
Which could light the way up to miles. “

The next day she was ready with dollars three,
But asked the doctor if she could have her oppa’s chain for free.
When the doctor asked her about any allergy,
She said,” I don’t know about me, but the maknae oppa has flower allergy.”

During the classes, all she had on her brain,
Was “ why this oppa has bread full of strawberry jam,
But that oppa has got no jams?”
While the weekend was coming around,

She was busy watching her oppa break the things around.
Among every person she had seen so far,
She was greatly mesmerized by ‘ The guy leaving the car’.

The night before another week ,
All she wanted from God to seek,
“ O God, in my next life please be fair,
Make me a camera or the air,
So that I can follow my oppas everywhere.”

The next day when the operation theater’s light went off,
Every one could hear her mother sob.
Though she never met them, when she was alive,
But the past whole week, for her, was a new life.
